Atari Inc. was split from the parent Natsume Inc. in 2002 and established as an independent corporation. Natsume has been active for 20 years since its inception in the entertainment industry of continuous growth in various forms, while it is raising dual company mottos: "Let's get into the field of recent expanding Pachinko business of high-technologies!"and"Let's develop business of 'manufacturing', our forte, in this field!" When naming our new company, we desire to maintain these objectives. We also thought of a Japanese word, "atari", used in the expression such as: A World of Hit business is counted by "How much you earn if you hit atari"; Pachinko is a game to aim "atari"; and thus in such a world by working hard We want to come up with big atari (big hit) machine!!. So, summing all up, we decided a company name, "Atari Inc." Participating in all the business areas and projects, our top rated development staffs are aiming to reach literally the Biggest Atari by collecting all their wisdoms and ideas. Now as the company starting the 4th year since its inception and experiencing rapid business and personnel expansion, we are looking forward to our future. And so, we hope you hold even greater expectation of Atari Inc. From time to time, we use somewhat academic terms, "Company Vision" for setting up the direction that a company aims. We of course have a company vision also but we would like to express it in more readily understandable manner. This is what the above heading is about, that is, "Creating jobs for everyone in Atari to be happy" In a word, why don't we get to work so that everyone involved in projects becomes happy by m aking the products we plan and develop the biggest hit! This is not at all difficult thing. As our staffs are engaged in development work everyday, saying raucously "Is THIS interesting?" or "What about this story?" bring out, to the best of their ability, creative touch and zeal for manufacturing products. This, I believe, is the origin as well as driving force of everything. And, the entity making business out of them is Atari Inc., and the main stage where this business is practiced and realized is Pachinko industry.
